It’s A Horse… OF COURSE!

I would love for you to meet my daughter Azalea’s NEW best friend.. Heesia, she named her, shes two, and came up with this name on her own. Even if I forget the horses name, she will remind me. Which I think is ADORABLE!

I found this cute pattern for a horse, which you can find HERE

I taught myself to crochet after having spinal fusion surgery back in February of this year, so I really have only been crocheting for 7 months, but I decided to try my first stuffed animal and this was the outcome! I am pretty pleased with it, and the best part is my girls are IN LOVE with her! Now they all want like every animal known to man kind crocheted by mom!

You can’t really tell from the picture but she is about 17 inches from head to tail end and so shes a pretty decent size but still a good size for taking every where, which is the case now, she goes all over with us!

Now to get into details… I used my GO-TO, FAVORITE yarn… RED HEART YARNS! I love their yarn cause its super soft and not super expensive and their colors are just amazing… they have it all! I rarely buy anything but Red Heart! I decided to add some color to the mane and tail “hairs” to give a more girly punky look to suit our taste but this could so easily be done in any color and look great! On the saddle I used a lil embellishment from The Buckle Boutique that I have been hanging onto for the perfect project and boy.. was this IT! It really added the perfect last lil touch! I also used a bling slide from The Buckle Boutique which is just so elegant and beautiful!! I used safety eyes I purchased from Hobby Lobby for 99 cents for a two pair pack, but just to be REALLY sure the eyes weren’t going to pull out I used a lil BEACON ADHESIVE GEM TACK GLUE! I love their glues, they have it ALL! From scrapbook glue to fabric glue to decoupage! I have been seriously impressed with their glues integrity and quality thru many of my projects!

Clothes Pin Centerpiece

I saw this lil project with a tuna can and clothes pins on pintrest and knew I had to do my own version of it using my favorite bling from The Buckle Boutique! I used this plastic container I had cause it was a bit bigger as I plan on putting a larger glass candle in the center. Here’s my interpretation of it!

I used some jute twine stuff to wrap around, a lil ribbon and of course my new love BLACK bling sheet scraps from The Buckle Boutique!

All you do is clip the clothes pins around and decorate as desired! These would be a GREAT idea for a wedding centerpiece for tables, or a party of any sorts for that matter! Or even just decor for the house! Or to hold makeup brushes on your vanity!

I hope you like this simple project! Look it up on pintrest for other great add on’s and design ideas! And look up The Buckle Boutique on PINTREST for more great projects and sales, and their WEBSITE, and BLOG so you never miss a thing from my lovely fellow design team members!

As always, HAPPY CRAFTING!

A Little Birdie Told Me…

.. that The Buckle Boutique and DCWV go together like peas and carrots, like peanut butter and jelly, like feet and flip flops and summer time!!

I go to auctions ALOT with my family to find old treasures and to kill time, its always a good time too! Well one time I came across a huge box of birdhouses! Some were super cute, some were just terrible, but I vowed to make over every single one of them and make them into something pretty again! They were sturdy good made bird houses, I couldn’t let them get away or be tossed! So just assume I will be sharing many more bird houses in due time, lol.

back to my daughters room make over for her 10th bday in October, I know I talk about it alot, but its pretty much all I craft for these days! Which is loads of fun! And I’m making sure to have extra fun with it this time since I have a whole 5 year gap til the next group of two kids start getting up to that age! Paizley in 5 years, Azalea in 7 years. So I thought, a made over bird house to hang in the corner with some other hanging things we are working on would be amazing! Here’s what I came up with!

birdhouse

I used the super cool corrugated paper in teal from DCWV, I love working with their products so much I used their self adhesive cork paper for the body of the house in polka dotted teal! And no project is complete without self adhesive bling sheets from The Buckle Boutique!

I used stamps and regular old black ink pad on the cork and I LOVE how it turned out, I will be stamping much more DCWV cork paper!!! I free handed some swirls on the cork with a black journaling marker, which I also LOVE how it came out so I will also be coloring, journaling and doodling on DCWV cork as well in the future!!!

If you haven’t played with the DCWV cork paper, you need to! It comes in many colors and designs and is SELF ADHESIVE! Which made this project sooooo fast and easy! And the cork cuts soooo simply with scissors or x-acto knife too!

Go check out The Buckle Boutique for all you bling needs! Follow the BLOG to never miss a project or a SALE!!!! And GO GET YOUR CORK PAPER!!! You will be entertained for the whole stack!!! Its AMAZING!

As always, HAPPY CRAFTING! Show me your birdhouse make over and stay tuned for more of mine!!!
